Penile / Penis Enlargement
Penile
enlargement cosmetic surgery consists of two separate components:
The first component is aimed at increasing the length of the penis. This procedure
was originally developed by Chinese surgeons for congenital micro-penis but subsequently
developed and adopted for cosmetic surgery use. Lengthening of the penis projection
is obtained by advancing the penis out of the pelvis and securing the shaft in an
anterior position. Lengthening of the penis is usually in the range of 15 to 45mm.
The second component involves increasing the girth of the shaft of the penis. This
procedure involves micro fat grafting to the penis.
Increase of girth is accomplished by injecting your own fat around the erectile tissue
of the penis. Fat is usually harvested from the lower abdominal area. Increase of
shaft circumference is in the range of 25 to 40%.
Plastic surgery length is 60 to 90 minutes. The procedure is performed under conscious
sedation with local anaesthesia or under general anaesthetic. It is usually done
on a day-basis.
Pain is usually minimal to moderate and responds to painkillers. Swelling could be
impressive and reaches a peak within two days after surgery, it then starts subsiding.
Sexual activity is discouraged for six weeks after surgery. Patients can go back
to work five to seven days after the procedure.
