Many patients present with
more than one cosmetic problem requiring attention. Performing multiple cosmetic
surgery procedures under the same anaesthetic is a sensible approach. It offers
the patient comprehensive and dramatic change to many parts of the body. The
single cosmetic surgery session reduces the
anaesthetic risks. Multiple plastic surgery procedures done in a single session
require a single recovery period compared to multiple recovery periods required
after multiple procedures which are performed separately. This approach makes
financial sense as the cost of multiple plastic surgery procedures performed
in a single surgical session is substantially less than the cumulative cost of the
individual plastic surgery procedures. Multiple plastic surgery procedures require
larger surgical session. The patient’s
selection is therefore of paramount importance. The patient should be healthy,
and in optimal physical shape to qualify for this session.
Is it safe?
Dr Fayman widely utilizes wet and tumescent local anaesthetic infiltration
of the surgical fields in order to reduce blood loss to a minimum. This approach
improves patient’s safety during surgery and comfort after surgery without significantly
increasing the patient’s risk as a result of the multiple plastic surgery
procedures performed. Plastic surgery procedures commonly performed together in

lift and body cosmetic surgery.
